Parents !! Would You Get Mad If Your Daughter Singed Up To Facebook Without Telling You?
well…. My dad doesn’t like facebook And i want a facebook account =( all my friends have facebook accounts and their parents said okay. So dose my cousin ( my father’s sister’s daughter ) asked her mom fis she can sign up and she said Okay :(. I didn’t ask dad because im scared he might yell at me :(, but i want a facebook account to add my friends and family only :@ and play games.
I never asked him cause i know he doesn’t like it but i seriously want one :@ it’s not fair.
how do i convince him to let me have a facebook account ?
P.S. I never asked him for a facebook account but i heard him talking about facebook and talking to me about it -.-’ + I’m 14 and im a girl obviously….
and my mom doesn’t have a problem with me having one, but it’s just my dad -.-’

Sometimes parents can be over protective. Try asking your dad WHY he doesn’t want you to get a facebook account. Make sure he knows there are ways that only people you know can see your information. If he’s still really against it try suggesting he get an account and put you on his friends list. That way he can keep an eye on you. It might suck a little to have your dad as a facebook friend but it’s better than not having it at all.

if you do it behind his back then you he will get mad. just ask him and see what he says..or have your mom talk to him about it.
my kids are not allowed to have one, so if they do it behind my back then i will just take their computer privileges away all together.

I am a mom and my daughter just turned 15. I was really nervous about her getting a facebook account because of all the creepy people there are out there. After looking at my sisters account and reading over the privacy policy I felt better. My daughter also made me aware that there are many different GOOD influences out there too. It helped me to know that Pope Benedict was represented on facebook as well. Tell your dad that you will use it sparingly and only post pictures that he himself authorizes. You are actually very lucky to have a Dad that cares enough to protect you. If there is a disagreement about it after you talk to him, then just listen to his reasons and appreciate the fact that he cares about you..

i actually did that…. then my mom made a fb and she said it was bad, so i got scared that she would find out so i changed my screen name to Whitney Blenson all my friends knew so it was the same. but my mom eventually found out, and i have no idea how. she was soooo mad. but then my older sis got one, so she had to let me re-activate mine. so it’s fine now, but she grounded me when she found out. hope u get one soon!:)
