am i getting closer? feeling diffrent lately?
my due date is march 8th which is about a month away and my doctor said the baby can come anytime after 36 weeks.. well for the last week or so i have just been feeling diffrent.. my heartburn has gotten worse but only at night and i feel like she is pushing down like i will get this painful feeling almost as thought it hurts in my vagina ( sry tmi) .. i also feel here a lot more and a lot stronger like pushing in my ribs or pushing her butt outwards..im just wondering if feeling the pressure and pain down there means anything like am i starting to dialate or is labor around the corner??

I have been having that terrible pain since about 8 months also. I am now 40 weeks so no I wouldn’t say it means labour is soon.

Good luck!
IMS | Feb 05, 2010

all those feelings are normal. I started feeling that at 34 weeks. The baby is just getting bigger and running out of room. Also the baby might be head first and may have dropped. All those feelings are normal.
cococlothes1 | Feb 05, 2010

Those feelings are normal. During the last 4-5 weeks, I labeled them the "miserable" period. I hurt the same way you did in my vagina and felt all the pushing. It started around 32 weeks and I was induced when I was 39 weeks. So it don’t get better, but just remember this, it is almost over and the reward you get after all this pain and misery, will change your life and is a pure blessing….

Stimulus creates nearly 500 Idaho jobs, so far
14.10.09

The 492 jobs created so far have been the result of roughly $12.8 million agencies reported spending.

In total, however, Idaho is due more than $1 billion share.

Wayne Hammon, Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter’s budget director, says the money reported spent so far by the state doesn’t include stimulus money that flowed to the Idaho Department of Education and the Department of Health and Welfare.

Hammon says the new job count created by the cash infusion passed by Congress in February will grow well beyond the current tally.

Hammon’s office has been in regular contact with federal officials, to make sure that Idaho is spending its share of the money appropriately and to make sure it meets deadlines - so it doesn’t lose out on money the state has coming due to technicalities.

I'm Catholic yet, with other people my age, I feel unholy and like a bad person. Er- is this normal?
I hate youth group at my church, but this year i had to to get confirmed (something I want to do). The kids who work the thing seem really really into the whole singing and activities thing. In the car ride to teh soup kitchen, the kids were like sharing their favorite songs and ALL of them only listened to Christian music (which isn’t a problem), but I mean, I’ve listened to it and it wasn’t my thing. I like hard rock, a little rap, classical, pop, etc. When I heard it, I felt guilty because I felt like I was doing something wrong. then, we were talking about movies and they were like i don’t like PG-13 movies because of the bad content. I mean I like those movies a lot (House Bunny, Mean Girls, , and find them enjoyable. Once again, I felt guilty. Then these two girls were trying to get me to join Young Apostles and I was like well, I’m pretty busy at my high school. They didn’t listen and were like its totally worth it to spend lots of time to this thing. Perosnally, its not my thing.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for Catholocism. I just feel a little weird with these people. I’m not one for really sticking my faith down people’s throats or shouting it from rooftops. I love Jesus and He is my Savior. I try my best to be a good person but I sin still. These people seem perfect, but they seem a little superficial on the outside.

Is this normal to feel? HAve you experienced anything like this? I’m 15.

I sure have and I was about your age when I did. Guilt is one of the tools of religion to keep you in church and on the "right path". It is perfectly normal for anyone in a religion to be routinely ashamed for not being "religious enough". This is what keeps you religious your whole life.

I am, to be fair to you, an atheist now. What I have said is based on personal experience and my actual understanding of religion based on that experience, not a shot at you or religion.

There will always be fanatics in the world…

You shouldnt feel this way, no matter what you do, God loves you
Try not to pay attention to the fanatics, or people that you think is better than you, cause there is no use of comparing yourself or feeling quilty, there is nothing wrong with having a different taste in music than other people with your religion…

You are BEAUTIFUL just as you are
Vane Vita | Feb 05, 2010

Yes. It is very common to feel that way.
clusium1971 | Feb 05, 2010

it is common, i like country and western music myself.
the test comes when you have to think outside the square and say to yourself ." if this what i am doing is wrong, what am i going to do about it."
no one is perfect, so keeping on with your prayer life is important.
robert C | Feb 05, 2010

it’s normal for individual like you … meaning you can not be brain wash that easy
what with love jesus and being catholic and all that.
you can just be yourself and love your family instead of jesus
Captain Stud Beefpile | Feb 05, 2010

To answer your last question, yes, it’s normal to feel that way at 15.

To answer your next to last statement, yes, it does seem superficial. I’ve known Christians like that, and most of them were only saying that they only listened to Christian music and didn’t watch PG-13 rated movies were only saying it to fit in. Most of the kids in my youth group were like that when I was a teenager, and I hated it.

Maybe it’ll help you to remember that Jesus associated with sinners. I wonder how many times He thought to Himself, "No, I’d better not go talk to that Samaritan, they’re the dregs of society, and I won’t be a good Jew if I do that." Probably never. I bet He saw the big picture.

It may also help you to read Romans 14. Read it, meditate on it, pray on it.

And don’t worry, this will pass too.

Can anyone translate this famous quote from benjamin button into Spanish (I know it's really long)?
(I know it’s really long and would be highly grateful for a precise translation)

Sometimes we’re on a collision course, and we just don’t know it. Whether it’s by accident or by design, there’s not a thing we can do about it. A woman in Paris was on her way to go shopping, but she had forgotten her coat - went back to get it. When she had gotten her coat, the phone had rung, so she’d stopped to answer it; talked for a couple of minutes. While the woman was on the phone, Daisy was rehearsing for a performance at the Paris Opera House. And while she was rehearsing, the woman, off the phone now, had gone outside to get a taxi. Now a taxi driver had dropped off a fare earlier and had stopped to get a cup of coffee. And all the while, Daisy was rehearsing. And this cab driver, who dropped off the earlier fare; who’d stopped to get the cup of coffee, had picked up the lady who was going to shopping, and had missed getting an earlier cab. The taxi had to stop for a man crossing the street, who had left for work five minutes later than he normally did, because he forgot to set off his alarm. While that man, late for work, was crossing the street, Daisy had finished rehearsing, and was taking a shower. And while Daisy was showering, the taxi was waiting outside a boutique for the woman to pick up a package, which hadn’t been wrapped yet, because the girl who was supposed to wrap it had broken up with her boyfriend the night before, and forgot.

When the package was wrapped, the woman, who was back in the cab, was blocked by a delivery truck, all the while Daisy was getting dressed. The delivery truck pulled away and the taxi was able to move, while Daisy, the last to be dressed, waited for one of her friends, who had broken a shoelace. While the taxi was stopped, waiting for a traffic light, Daisy and her friend came out the back of the theater. And if only one thing had happened differently: if that shoelace hadn’t broken; or that delivery truck had moved moments earlier; or that package had been wrapped and ready, because the girl hadn’t broken up with her boyfriend; or that man had set his alarm and got up five minutes earlier; or that taxi driver hadn’t stopped for a cup of coffee; or that woman had remembered her coat, and got into an earlier cab, Daisy and her friend would’ve crossed the street, and the taxi would’ve driven by. But life being what it is - a series of intersecting lives and incidents, out of anyone’s control - that taxi did not go by, and that driver was momentarily distracted, and that taxi hit Daisy, and her leg was crushed.

What do you think of this? first draft, school work..?
For school I’m putting together a short story type thing. I’m going to record myself reading it out and create artwork ect, so it’ll be an audio performance. I’ve posted what I’ve written so far and was just wondering what people’s thoughts on it are? Whatever we write has to be based upon the theme of MEMORY. Thank you!

It felt as if these walls were caving in on me. Four of them, moulding together, working as one to suffocate me. The crystal bubbles emerged from the water in my half empty glass as I tilted it slightly with shaking palms. Although there was no window to allow light of any kind discover the room, the bubbles somehow found a way to cast a silvery shaddow upon the walls. As my eyes caught the mysterious light, it lit up the memory in my mind. Seeping through my sight-scarred eyes, the memory which I’d burried in the perish of my life, was right infront of me. I was suddenly staring into the eyes of demons of my past. I specificly requested a window-less room, so the stranger will not see my face, only hear the trembles of my long-lost voice as I dive into the heart of my past and reveal unto thee the terrors which haunt my every waking hour. Are you sitting comfortably?

-FLASH BACK-

The full moon hovered above my head; it resembled a glitter filled disco ball as it hung within the midnight blue sky, watching tentively over the sleeping world. It wasn’t that late in the evening, just cold, quiet and wintery. The tall, leering streetlamps shone blazes of orange light down on the pathway ahead of me, guiding me forward. The soft scrapes of my boots hitting the pavement echoed throughout the streets, it was so deserted, I was alone. To some, the peace and deadly silent would have been unerving, but I had always felt somewhat safe and content in my own company. Suddenly, the quiet night was interrupted by an almighty
CRASH! (have sound of bins falling, loud noise)
I drew in a sharp, abrrupt icey cold breath as my eyes locked on the alley-opening ahead of me. There was something there. I stood statuesque in the middle of the street, waiting. My heart gave an angelic little bounce as the small, harmless black cat emerged from the opening. It stalked in the shaddows, keeping well away from the light of the streetlamps. Then it was gone, I was alone again. Or so I thought.

My feet carried me a few more steps until I stopped again. Another noise. But this time, it wasn’t a loud, startling noise. It was very, very quiet; almost silent. It sounded like very strained, hoarse breathing. As if someone were struggling to draw a single breath. My eyes searched the darkness,
Aha,
My gaze fell upon a shaddowed figure in the park, a few paces away. At first I didn’t feel anything, but as I found myself getting closer to the figure, I felt a sudden fright pierce my gut. The ‘thing’ looked like a person, crouched in a small ball beside the river which ran calmly through the night.
"Hello?" I asked once, coming to a sudden halt, just inches away from the ‘thing.’ I watched as it’s breathing became more and more intense.
"Are you alright?" The words had barely left my lips before the figure rose from the ground and stood with it’s back to me. I waited, my heart beginning to pick up pace as the ‘thing’ slowly turned to face me. I immediately opened my mouth to scream, but only silence ripped through the air. The person standing before me held my terrified blue eyes with their own. Their mouth quaked and dripped with water from the river, their naked body shaking uncontrolably. I looked, in horror, at myself standing before me.

It was a few long minutes before I could speak.
"You’re me." I breathed, and as I did so, my double said it too. At exactly the same time, in the same terrified tone. We both gasped.

i think it’s fine. Well written too.

whats this movie called-kind of vague but about 2 people who live in different eras and fall in love?
they talk to each other by writing letters through a chest of drawers, one time in catches on fire and they also eventually meet.i dont know????its no the lake houseor kate&leopold though

I know the movie you mean, but can’t remember the title…it was a movie made for TV…it was an antique desk, and the guy, a writer, bought it at an antique store in Boston…

The young lady was alive during the Civil War and her parents were wanting her to get married, but she didn’t have a beau…and she wrote a "dear diary" type of letter and put it in the secret compartment…and he found it in modern times…and replied…

And when she went back to add to her diary letter, she found his reply and the "courtship" began…

It was a really good movie…and the fire that broke out was in the Boston post office…where the letter had to be mailed, because it was the original one that was there when she was alive and the last letter barely got mailed, due to the fire, and it had singe marks on it when she got it, delivered by the postman in her time…

I think the guy who played the lead is the guy who now stars on Criminal Minds, and was the husband on Dharma & Greg…
